I currently fly Airush Lithium and Waves. I know that they should fly fine with most 4 line bars with a high Y, but I am not sure about the performance of the release mechanism. The other day I was trying my Lithium with an Ocean Rodeo bar with a high Y. The kite flew fine with the bar, but when I had to self rescue - the kite didn't depower like it normally does with my Airush bar.
What do other Airush flyers like to use for alternative bars? What have you had good luck with? I am tired of the limited trim adjustment on the Airush bars. Yesterday - my trim strap broke. I am ready to make a change.

Airush have not had a high Y for a number of ears now - your Wave for sure wasn't designed to fly on a high Y. The bars now have a low Y and flag to one single front line.

Yeah - I know Airush bars have switched to a low Y. I have read they work fine with the older airushes. I am just seeing if any airush flyers have ditched the Airush bar and found something they like better. Many bars would "probably " work. Just trying to save some trial and error time...........

the airush system is designed to use a single front line flag out. It will also work with the twin front line flag out if there is enough throw on the back lines when the safety is released (high Y system).
If you need more adjustability then airush do make a cleat system for retrofit, and we hold it in stock in the UK, but cleats and ropes have more issues than webbing and straps imho.
I'd also say that while the airush kites fly very well on high levels of depower, (the v4 bridle is very good at this) if you need more than the webbing strap offers, then you are outside the optimum aerodynamic window of the kite and should change down - if you have a good smaller kite to change down to...
if not, then you need more de-power on the good one!

I should also add - high Y / low Y...
Low Y the kite does fly better, but must use single line flagout for safety,
High Y Flagout, doesnt fly as well, (a performance not functionality issue) but you can use a double line front flagout...

I've used a Best RP bar many times with newer Varials and Lithiums with no issues. Slightly less depower when sheeting out due to less bar throw. Other than that works fine.
