This helps me more because I'm not the trim athletic guy that kooshball is, but not quite the "beer gut" guy you say your are :-)

Thanks for taking the time to follow up. As with most thing is this sport of ours, can't demo or try before buy - must put up the money to play. So all the feedback helps.
Just for more data--my usual pant size is 33" and I just measured my belly at 39". I tend to fly well overpowered and love to boost.

Ive had mine for 1.5 yrs now and still no complaints. I had him make it when i weighed 233lbs hoping inwould lose weight and he made it accordingly. Im down to 206 now and it still fits great. This harness has cured my lower back and left hip issue i had previous to buying it. Once mine wears out i will difinitely be buying a production one.

Thanks Clint!

I think you guys are both using Customs (?) - I think the OP is using a Hex.

The hex is what is available and likely won't perform the same as the customs. But I wish I had a crystal ball to determine the difference in performance.

To clarify, I bought the hex in size small with the smaller rope spreader bar.

According to the descriptions on the website - there are three types of materials of varying strengths and stiffness used to make the shell. The shape of the harnesses are based on averages of sizes and shapes from all the custom harnesses they used to make. They simplified and streamlined their spreader bar, and the padding and webbing looks a bit more polished than the "custom" days. Having my custom harness for three season now - I would say the true value of the Engine harness was the custom fit.. That looks to be no longer an option. I will have to treat my harness like gold to squeeze as many years as possible out of it. Will they ever come back with a custom option?

He says he is going to come back with customs, but he needs to finish his work with the production models first.

This happened within the last few days then (and still furiously working on the site -- lastModified: "10/15/2015 16:46:50").

That's good to know.

Cool - my current harness is still going strong. It is a testament to how nice the custom builds were. These new ones look really nice. :)
