The new North bar does looks interesting although I'm not sure how the mechanism will withstand sand, etc. There are two small pulleys in the bar hole.

I just can't imagine this system working for a long period of time on salty and sandy beaches. And I think that's the reason it hasn't been produced already years ago. It's not like it's a new idea.
Looks extremely clean though.

Looks bulky and relatively unnecessary to me...pulleys etc in the bar so you can trim your kite...really!

Shit when I said the joke goes "North and Cab got together to design a bar", I didn't expect them to fucking do it! WTF are they thinking ?!?!?
KenYcantYhedesignaYWinnerY obviously hasn't got his hands on it yet, it's still low V. Cab has a triple springed version in the works. I hear none of the springs have a function, but Pete and the cab crew think they look cool, something about surfing roots or something. Good news though they are throwing 90% of their R&D budget into the graphic design department. A 100% of focus groups confirmed it was the best decision and I quote "wicked graphics" was the most important factor for them when purchasing new gear. 2018(next year) here we come!

Man, I totally agree with you. That prototype (please let it be a prototype and not a production model) looks absolutely retarded.

Are they doing focus groups??? Omg., it's over. ( and I have a lot of experience in UX and consumer insight research) totally inappropriate in this biz
