The biggest difference between the two is how well the ultralight drifts/hangs in the air when doing transitions and such. The ultralight material and and overall weight reduction allows you to fly it in even lighter conditions.

i Have 13v3 Ultralight, 18V2 Ultralight, 12m v1, 7m v2 - Ultralight version is MUCH MUCH better ! - 13m Ul v3 flight stable in zenith from 4 knots i think. Normal from about 6 knots... most important difference is restart in marginal wind.. ultralight version is great ! UL its also faster in turn.

Have Ozone Chrono V3 15m ULTRALIGHT, new, for $2,499 shipped. Not good for my launch areas.
