Here we go again......29th annual Sturgeon Stampede.
Where: Lake Winnebago, Fond du Lac, WI
When: Feb. 9, 10, and 11 (Fri-Sun)
What: A gathering of snow kiting enthusiasts for racing, big air event, and just for fun riding.
Good reason to get out of town and party with your kiting friends to the north.
Lots going on besides snow kiting, https://www.fdl.com/details/event/Sturg ... ry-9-2018/

Lots of affordable hotels: $48 - $109 per night.

WAK shack #1 has been deployed on the ice with WAK shack #2 going out later this month. (yes they are heated and everyone is welcome)

Some of you know this is a fund raiser for Winnebago Ass. of Kiteboarders (WAK) which has created and maintains launches on Lake Winnebago which everyone is welcome to use. http://www.wakkiteboarding.com
Ice is already 20 inches thick so no problem driving your car (12 inches to support a car) on the ice to the event site which is 1/2 mile from shore, off Roosevelt Park on the Southeast shore or Lake Winnebago.
Right now, no snow, but we know it`s coming.
I will post snow updates as we get closer to the event
