I think it will be way different than the story of Best.
Best went bankrupt. Doesn’t sound like North is or will, just change the name due to whatever is behind that.
BTW, North just paid their advertising bill from me, after a week I sent it to them...only a very healthy company pays that quick.
And Best employees etc didn’t get paid for months...I would be one of the last to get paid in such case if ever...

What does this do for warranties on new North gear???? What about gear that is less than a year old??

What's the big deal?
The holding company probably changed from emerald to duotone.
So what?
Who would be so stupid to change the name and lose all the brand value? (or do big changes to people and lose the know how?)
The holding company just puts money in, gives some directions and takes the profits. Especially if kiteboarding is not its speciality...
