NE winds, 5 minutes.
SW or NW winds, 20-60 minutes.
S winds, up to 2 hours, then maybe a boat ride.
Hatteras vacation, 11 hours.

1 hour S wind kitesurfing.
2 hours N wind kitesurfing.
3-3'5 hours snowkiting.
I thought I will be in the worst situation but after all I see is not that bad.

60 second drive for 180 degrees of wind direction on sandy beach, 5 min drive for the other 180 degrees, yes, almost like an island.

Google knows better than I do. Local spot automatically pops up on my maps and gives me the travel time when I start the car after work.
