Hi All!
I'm an happy owner of the Zephyr V5, I was just wondering if the Ultra 17m can float sensibly more and relaunch better in light wind near 9/10 knots
I normally prefer more struts than less(Zephyr have 5 and better high end) for the added stability and high end, but in this case I'm curious to know if less would be a clear advantage in light winds
for the moment I'm not interested in foil kite(or foil boards) as my level and experience are just almost intermediate in LEIs
I'm interested too in the specific target the kite have, the Zephyr, perhaps, is very easy, stable, freeride but also some freestyle and boosting kite, the Ultra?

I know Ultras. If you are not a heavy guy I suggest to stay away from it. Even though 12m Ultra is biggest I've flown.
Zephyr is very different kite, it has excellent high end for its size. For sure 17 Ultra has more low end than Zephyr (which is one of the "weakest" of 17m LEI's) but it may have too much grunt when wind picks up.

For TT , add Cabrinha Contra to the equation , I'm almost sure my 15m has the same low end as a Zeph 17m....
Switch H3 16m could be another option for what are you looking for.....both 3 struters...

thank you mikelet, for north Sardinia is ok the Zephyr for it's big wind range, was just curious of the advantage of the Ultra on the same size of the Zephyr
