Hi guys, there’s a friend of mine heading to Nassau Jan 3rd. He would like to have some infos about spots/conditions/rentals and so on.
Thank you!

Just below the blue banner near the top of this forum page on the far right is a box with " Search " written in it. Type " Nassau Bahamas " there and hit the little magnifying glass button on the right side of the box. Read the threads that come up from that search.
I don't believe there is anyone on New Providence ( Nassau is the capital city of the Bahamas and is on New Providence island ) that is renting kite gear presently.
Don't miss

1. Spots- yes- several.
2. Conditions- varied.
3. Rentals- no
So, without their own gear, 1 and 2 are sadly of no consequence.

South Beach, directly across the island from the cruise ship stop. A ridiculous long wide sand bar with zero chop and usually a decent wind direction. Had a buddy doing lessons/ gear years ago as a side job. He had a competitor teaching lessons too, no kite shop on the island I know of though. More a word of mouth thing. I was there in the beginning of December..
got skunked...
South Beach had nothing even when the north side of the island had ok wind but off shore... very strange... I ended up foiling on south wind in the channel between Paradise Island and Nassau... very sketchy but better then going to South beach and having nothing at all, besides it's shallow for miles so foiling is not a good option at South Beach..
so out of 8 days I got 1 ok north wind day on TT and one very sketchy south wind foiling... rest was not doable.. and I can go in very low ind...

It’s a weird thermal effect sometimes- seems like it should windy from the S on the Northside, but not.
There were 3 x 15-20kt south shore days and 1 x decent wave day on the Northside in the last week. Nothing for next few days. It’s all frontal driven off US this time of year so quite predictable.
