I knew my kite had a hole in the bladder as it was losing air last session. I pumped it up in the backyard to find the hole (have patched bladders before) and must have missed a tiny LE fabric tear. Suddenly I heard a “tick tick tick” and realized too late it was a bulge in LE with threads breaking one by one. I raced to deflate but was too slow. “BOOM!!”

Everything can be fixed.
Ask your kite repair or shop.

Both the bladder and LE can be fixed, without replacements.
And repair shops can take the bladder out and in when repairing, really fast, for almost nothing, really amazed how cheap and effective they are.
"Just send it as it is" they always say here, and fixed very soon after.
But it is a kitesurfer who owns the best of the repair shops - if sewn by a sailmaker as I also have had they can not repair the bladder, and sometimes they make the repair weak as they are not used to kites, and you have to remove the bladder yourself and buy a replacement and insert it again, not worth the time....
If the kite is worn, and you want a new - you could of course use the occasion to do that instead

What Toby said.
That can be easily repaired because it's only one segment and all the fabric is there to make a pattern part. Personally if I liked the kite I'd replace the bladder otherwise I'd repair the bladder and sell the kite.

Pity you are not in Cape Town, Paul Lagesse at Second Wind Sails would fix that for you professionally.
