I was in a similar position and pulled the trigger about 18 months ago.

I'm still happy with the board, though I hardly kite at all these days.
I'm heavy and certainly wouldn't use a split board for my 'home' board, not sure it'd take it!
Since I bought it, I'd add a couple of things;
I got the Concept Ruler from You Love it Kitesufing - was a good experience.

I heard the upwind of these boards is good.
Find a suitcase on Amazon to the size you want, probably cheaper and lighter than the Concept X suitcase.
It has taken the stress out of travelling with gear. No more trying to find the over size luggage arrival point and wandering around lonely arrival halls in odd places in the world!

Been considering a split board for some years. But the Nobile NHP is really expensive for a pre-broken board in bits.
