The ball is the next size up from the ball on the BRM CCS Cloud . In is big enough to be handled with gloves on. Dont forget a bungee cord too

Hi, where do you ball from? It looks like you have two diameter holes in it. Bigger from pin side and smaller from top - do i see correct?
Many thanks,
Tomas

I got some of the parts at the local boating store, but they also couldn't help with the metal latch part of the release, so I ended up getting the terminal as has been suggested here more than once.
I would like my bar to be simple, but I don't want to miss out on the depower/trimming system. So I figured I use a cobra clam cleat.
This clam only needs one line to go through the bar for the trimming and one for the safety. Did anybody use a cobra clam cleat and can suggest if it works?
Here is a link that explains how it works:

Thanks!

Yes, this is correct. See a picture of the stopper ball here:

Also, two holes need to be drilled on the sides to fix the bungee that will hold the ball in place.

Many thanks! Thats ronstan balls.
I need one big hole all way - otherwise leash line will stuck - but hole must be smaller than swag eye so only way is custom drilled delrin ball. I was just wandering if you did find something off shelf.

Nylon ball works fine with my 3mm eye end 4mm line. Its made with a hole about 15mm one side and 4.5mm or so the other. Nylon is a little soft but probably reduces any shocks to the bar in a release/crash situation.

Just to be sure
4mm depower line + leash line /?mm/ work fine? Does leash line slide and did not jam at leash line flying line connection?
many thanks

There are endless possibilities how to setup but make sure that if you use leash line it can slide freely through what ever hole it goes

My first prototype of a quick release (see pictures below). There is stuff to improve, but it works.
I will hopefully get the bar in January. And then I will need to think about which lines and where to get them. I would like to fly my 10m North (high Y) and 7m Cabrinha (V) with it. I am not sure that is possible, but since I am building it myself I (currently) see it as a challenge.
Edit: Peeking at the Clickbar it seems I may just need to learn how splice and then get an inglefield clip. Variable V: done.
