There's a race in the works down the Gulf Coast from Honeymoon Island in Duneden to Bongos on St. Pete Beach, roughly 25 miles, more with tacking.

Image
Jay, Chris, Toby, Amber and a ton of area riders are pulling together to make this a great event, again! They have also go way above the call of duty and have raised CASH prizes for both women and men contestants, way to go! There was a good turnout of local riders and folks from other areas of Florida. I understand one fellow drove in from Atlanta to check things out!

The party got going around sunset and memorable one to boot. This followed an action packed day of demos of kites. A bunch of us also did a dry run down the race course. It was interesting and informative.

Brandon with Best hangs out in lady's garb with a fellow model, looks good.

Moving around the table left to right, there's Barb, Tim, Chris, PJ, Trent and Julie (sorry!). (NOTE: Please help me out with missing or miss identified names, thanks!).

Irma, CJ and Tiff hangout. Stay tuned, the party was on All Hallows Eve, these rippers will undergo a sea change soon.

Image
There was even a dry "how to self-rescue" clinic given by Steve on the beach with a bow kite.

Jay launched into a pre-race Captains meeting touching upon starting procedures, logistics, sea conditions and possible hazards during the race in 25 kt. NW winds.

Somethings up in the second story bar. Hmmm, let's head up.

The flip side. Somebody got a rush Photoshop hem job, wonder who? Some outfits are just too hot!

Image
Neat costumes, hey guys, where's yours?

Image
PJ, Josh, Tammy and crew get things going.

Image
Amber (Pippi LS) on the right paired with Tammy (of Sherwood Forest) on the left, brief folks on extensive media attention planned for the event. Great costumes!

Image
Jay organizes riders pulling starting positions out of a pumkin held by Tammy with Julie looking on. We're talking about up to 100 riders here. Starting position is going to be important.

So does Damien riding for Cabrinha. His is the one on the right, doesn't look real happy.

This guy on the other hand is OK with things.

Sponsors donated a lot of great stuff including the SS Machine kite that Chris just won, yeeha!
