Will be really exciting to see the first stop of the world hydrofoil kite event series.
I can understand people are practising like maniacs all over, to show what they can
Anyone who knows if any live coverage from Mexico ?

Don't know anything about live streaming.
Hope Markus is there and will be broadcasting on the racing FB group.
It looks that Ozone Chrome will debut there. So many foils and top riders.
It reminds me first American-French confrontation during IKA KR Worlds in Sylt.

Looking forward to follow these race series.
It should be mandatory to wear a race assigned GPS, so they could be tracked online
But I assume this is not in the budget unfortunately
Could be amazing, just like Formula1 and Americas Cup sailing events, so the speed and vmg could be seen either live or at least as recordings for the public

Peter, I think you've hit on the holy grail of race promotion. Have the racers prove what the racers do so the eyes can enjoy the spectacle. Perhaps this could be part of their entry for a piece of equipment worth say US 250 'ish.
For me, I'm looking to the new foil racers Nico Lauderer, Alvaro Cadena and Tybur Reed, who we've all seen before, I heard their on a new stealth set up which may work well. What I've seen looks so nice, can't wait to get one myself. Maybe not to compete, but it looks way better than the pain of going fast in chop.
To all can't wait and if @Toby can get coverage, all the better for all.

A SPOT satellite messenger can be had in the USA, for only $99 ; then activated
for a year is a bit more, (don't know exactly). They bin using them for PG and HG
competition for many years now, with Good results. Oh Yea -- there already water-proof.
They Might do a deal for a comp ?

It was done at one of the course racing or slalom events. I can remember that I could review each race and see where everyone was through the race. It must have been fairly recent so 2012 or 2013 and one of the big events.
The beach location was in the NE corner of the map.
Just cannot remember where the location or what the event was. They must have had a tracking device on each rider or board. It would probably be very useful for the organisers of races.

Live stream at the Gold cup event in Mexico would be nice but not sure if the internet is fast enough there.
I did some live stream commentary with Markus at the last Euro Formula Champs and it was heaps of fun and great with people commenting live at the same time.
This Gold Cup got all the top racers with all the new toys.
Big battle between French and US boys and few dark horses there as well like South American rides like Rikki and Nico.
It will be interesting to see if JH is going to dominate the foil scene as much as he has dominated the Formula Race scene for years.
All very exciting and the spot and conditions look amazing

I must admit I also look damm mutch forward to the action in Mexico starts. Both the battle between the brands like Taaroa, Spotz, Lift, Aguera, KFA etc. But also the battle between the French and US.
My bet is top 3 will be: Nicolas Parlier, Adam Whittington and Johnny Heineken.
But lets see. Everything can happen in competition. Hope we also get a lot of pictures of the new prototypes and customisation I guess a lot will show up with.

Let's bet
My predictions:
1st - Adam
2nd - Max
3rd - Johny
Top 10 - 5 French, 4 Americans.
BTW.
6 women - good
25 men - not so good,
2 locals - bad.
I don't like one thing - this is the first world cup of the new discipline and the entry fee of 200USD. There is something wrong. It 's not too clever way to increase attendance.
I planned to participate in the cup as an amatour - for fun and to be a witness of history. 4 events - 800USD fee on the top of flights, hotels cost.
Wish to be a millionaire or the organisers got more understanding.
