My new Tom Tom arrived and I have been setting it up for the last few hours and understanding it's way of working and data information.
Firstly it comes with a bar mount so it can be secured on kite bar or wrist, setting it up was a minor task as each step is explained on Tom toms on line user manual, the surprising thing that hit me was after setting the watch up you never need to cable it to a lap top or smart phone to get all your data, all this data is sent automatically by Bluetooth and displays all you will need and more in a very smart user friendly format, with half the page taken up by a map of your tracks against a map of the sailing area, and you can touch any part of the track to see your speed in mph or kmph at that point, your heart rate at that point, distance covered, and more, even a graph line showing your speed throughout the session, there is even a box showing how many calories you have burned, another line for how hard you have worked against previous sessions or against your preset targets of speed, distance, heart rate, work rate.
And you can display all this as soon as you are in range of your phone, as the watch sync's with the phone automatically.
As this is a bit of kit I will be using in the gym as well, then I am well suited to its capability, many of the capabilitys I will never use, as its name suggests, multi sports watch--swimming, cycling, marathon running, pace setting, and a watch as well.
Tide information at location would be brilliant, the GPS recognises your location within seconds, 2-4 seconds.
