I should try the peel ply...cheapest by far! Easy enough to renew.

Hexatraction was not good enough for me barefoot on a surfboard. I kept slipping off. My friend who owns the board rides it with booties, and that works for him.

Wax Mat sounds pretty interesting!

A foilboard needs very little grip or dampening compared to a planing/plowing board as you are always perpendicular to the forces.

Peel ply is still almost as new on my raceboard after 8 months heavy use.

Why are deck pads so freaking expensive?...I've getting ready to build my own board and I was like wtf when I saw the prices.

Hmmm, yes, in shops big deck pads are expensive, agree.

But on the net they cost almost nothing...

Here https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2017-22 ... 49980.html

Or here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/18-Pieces-2- ... 2215894165

Or https://www.paddlesurfwarehouse.com/pad ... k-pad.html

From 20 usd to 60 usd + shipping for some, that is extremely low cost, right?

Really durable. Cleans up easy.

Spacestick wax mat looks good, like Hexatraction just thicker, maybe one should try that :D
