Travel bag for pocket quiver

Postby grigorib » Mon Jan 07, 2019 9:05 pm

I own a 142cm long PKS lightweight bag with no wheels, just straps and it's awesome for twintip and rest of gear.
I would get a electric piano/keyboard bag for foilboard only.

Travelling with 36-42" long foil pocketboard and 91-101cm mast kind of leads me to looking for a lightweight bag which can fit board/mast/wings/fuselage/harness/bar/5m/7m/9m kites and would be pretty compact for travel on "foil-only trips"

I saw some shorter golf bags at Dick's which I need to try but would like to hear other suggestions

Nobile has a bag that will fit a 42 inch board that I will most likely get soon. I have their master travel bag which has been fantastic. It’s been around the world many times and strapped to the back of my motorcycle for 10000 miles.

I like the body board options. Need one wide enough for a DC 42" which I think is 18" . Will these be over the 62" oversize? I think so. That is why I was going with Ion golf bag. But these look like they would work perfect.

I don't understand the point of the shorter 95-110cm bag vs a 145cm Bag. For Airline travel they are both considered oversized. Obviously ,the 145cm bag will weigh slightly more but depending on your equipment choices, 3 kites, board , foil and bars will add up to around 20-23Kg which in my experience is the max some airlines allow for "sporting equipment". Plus, when traveling with a light carbon foil board say like Moses T38 its nice to put the board in its own slider bag than goes in to the golf style bag. Extra protection a the expensive of a bit of weight .
