towing out looks great fun

I wonder if this has been caught on video somewhere?
I could hardly believe my eyes when I watched this happen on Flag beach a few weeks back, in fact I had to get my binoculars out to confirm it was happening.
The foil race guys from Levitaz were there for a week of fun, and on a good wave day they had a good trick which was great to watch.
Two of the guys would set off to the water with two Levitaz foil boards and one kite, the lead guy had a shortish 3 mtr water-ski rope and handle fixed to the rear of his harness, they would get out from the beach and they would then get up together and foil out to the wave sets and the guy in tow would then drop the handle and pump surf all the way back where the lead foiler was waiting to pick him up and tow him back out for another kite-less ride back in, brilliant! :thumb:
They did this over a few days and were getting quite good, the only time they struggled was when the wind was light in shore, as they needed a lot of power to get them both up on the foil at the same time, they were using big wings but not huge ones.boards were normal freeride boards.

Much easier to balance on a TT whilst pulling a foil :thumb: the foil can also help the TT go upwind :)
