Can anyone comment on the practicality of a 2 kite quiver of Souls? I have a 12m and am wondering whether to replace my 2 Ozone Enduros - wondering if adding an 8m Soul could cover the 11m and 8m Enduro V2’s. Anyone comment on smaller Souls and the sorts of gusty conditions you get in higher winds? 3 kites might be better but big money...

I have 2 days on the 6m and was foiling in somewhat gusty 15-23 knot winds. No problems at all. I’m likely gonna get the 10m and try a 2 kite quiver as well.

According to Flysurfer it should be no problem - the quoted wind range of 13-36 knots is greater than the 11m and 8m Enduro combined.

I would not trust marketing ranges or base a purchase decision on this subjectives tables.

Good point but the wind range of the 12m is amazing and certainly equal to what Flysurfer claim, so I’ve no reason to disbelieve it. If I get the 8m then I always have the option of bridging the gap and getting a 10 as well...

I indeed trust that the soul wind range is great (and surely comparable to the wind range of others mid ratio kites like Pulsion or Hyperlink).
But we can put any crap in these tables, e.g. FS communicated similar ranges decades ago ... on the speed 2 !!! It depends if you mix supports, and on you riding skills, high end personal comfort limit, so company can write what they want...
For example I used my conceptair Pulsion in 5 to 22 knots on HF (needed to change kite setting and line lenght) but I do not consider it is its actual wind range ! Just for newbies clarity ...

Have a 8m and love it. My two kite quiver is the 15 and 8 and could have easily been a 12/8. 8 handles gusts really well. Drifts better than my 15 and is super fast so has a good low end if you move the kite a lot.

It is possible to do a 2 kite quiver and cover most of the wind range, especially if you hydrofoil and don’t need the larger sizes. However, I think a 3 kite quiver is more realistic. If you have to cover both ends of the wind range a 4 or 5 kite quiver makes sense.
The Soul is the best kite I have ever flown. I took a 10m to Maui last month and flew it every day for 10 days straight. Normally, I would have flown a 7 and 10m LEI in those conditions, the Soul effortlessly covered the range. It is an amazing kite!

Tossing up between the 10 or the 12 Soul. I’m 80 kg riding a surf or a race wing depending on conditions and tide. I want to get foiling in 7-8 knots with a kite that will relaunch relatively easily if I drop it. It will replace a Pansh Aurora 12 which is ok but old school re wind range and slow.
What is the min wind I can expect to get going on the 10, it would be preferable due to turning speed for the surf foil No chance to demo in our area.
Thanks

Is that an Aurora 1? The funalex mod is very good on it, though requires a lot of time to implement. Flysurfers have good depower. A15 depower is a bit less but I find the wind range fine, relaunch very easy and is good for surf. If you are sold on a Soul it looks a great kite. I love flysurfer just wish they sold direct with much cheaper prices.
