Peak4 vs Shaman2

Postby verkiter » Sun Nov 18, 2018 4:09 pm

Very interested in any first hand comparisons between the new Peak 11 vs the Shaman 12. Interested in low end power comparison, flying characteristics, bar and overall flying impressions. These kites are not easily available where I live so I'm relying on others experiences to form my decision.
Primarily interested for snow but also thinking of special days for hydrofoil.
Thanks for any info anyone can offer!

Verkiter, If you are in Champlain/Burlington area, you're only 3hrs away from me in North Conway. Maybe closer depending on where I am at the time.

We will have the Peak 4 in our demo fleet and for sale. https://www.hardwaterkiter.com/store/p7 ... _SOON.html

We will also have the Explore. We won't have any Gin as they don't have distribution here but ya never know who might show up. ;-)

We're surprised by the Gin Shaman V2. Especially the drift & stability, the low-end power of the 6m was mind blowing how it pushes 95 kg uphill ( 10 knots)

"Future of kiteboarding, a single skin kite that can float"

:) Think we already have that kind of kites, they are often called LEI's.

Just tie a bunch of pool noodles right inside the LE on a shaman or peak 4

But....someone should modify there shaman or peak and sew on a center batten to keep the kite from collapsing should work fine then... Sergio showed in his video water relaunch is possible batten would help most likely he had to keep back line tension....and maybe some type of holes for water drainage in LE

How about enclosing the leading edge and putting two or three struts/cells that have ram air intakes which would pressurize the leading edge and struts? It would be similar to a LEI but without the need for pumping or heavy reinforcement to hold high pressure. It could be called a LEUI (pronounced loo-ee). :?:

We've been flying the Shaman 2 at HARDWATERKITER.COM for about a month and a half and I have to say I am very happy with it. All the sizes are a joy to fly and deliver everything that we love about single skins and none of the things we don't.

Very smooth, even in full depower and the higher AR pays off both in upwind and in speed.

And if your intent is to foilboard with it, we have a better option...

Hi, so after so many months, can you give us any more feedback for marabou?

Thanks in advance
