EXCEPTIONALLY STABLE
The Pure V1 will give you the peace of mind to focus on each step towards getting going on the snow!

PROGRESSIVE HANDLING
Ideal for riders with little or no previous kite flying experience.

It launches easily and inflates constantly while rising smoothly up to the zenith.

SHORT FLYING LINES
The Pure V1 has been developed using 12m lines, the ideal length for newcomers to safely learn and progress. Included in the package are 5m line extensions for an increased wind-window, providing more power for lighter wind days.

SELF LAND WITH EASE
By pulling the brake handle between the back leader lines on the control system; the kite will stall down to the ground.
When you are ready to launch again simply let go of the brake handle to re-inflate the kite.

INSTANT POWER RELEASE
If you need to immediately stop all power from the kite, activate the release system and the Pure V1 will flag out to one front line, immediately stopping all power delivery.

PURE V1 CONTROL SYSTEM

We designed a new control system specifically for the Pure V1, incorporating a trimmer-less system to keep it clean and easy to use. The back leader line knots provide the trim option to increase power, turn speed and feeling on the bar.

LIGHTWEIGHT HARNESS

The slim-line Pure V1 harness can be added to the package, setting you up with all you need for your first Snowkiting experience.

The harness is fully adjustable to fit all shapes and sizes, both under or over winter clothing. A heavy-duty webbing loop to connect the control system reduces size and weight of the harness.

Fantastic New Kite this is!
The Pure V1 is the BEst for Beginners on snow and for those that used to like the Kitewing.
Since the pure comes with 12m lines. It's much more simple...
Some Customer will use the Pure V1 with a skateboard and mountain board too.

Parents are enjoying getting their kids into the sport in a safer way!

PURE V1 CONTROL SYSTEM
We designed a new control system specifically for the Pure V1, incorporating a trimmer-less system to keep it clean and easy to use. The back leader line knots provide the trim option to increase power, turn speed and feeling on the bar.

The Pure V1 has been developed using relatively short flying lines, the 12m lines are the ideal length for new comers to safely learn and progress. Included in the package are 5m line extensions for an increased wind-window, providing more power for lighter wind days.

Self-landing the Pure V1 is simple and easy by pulling the brake handle between the back leader lines on the control system; the kite will stall down to the ground, when you are ready to launch again simply let go of the brake handle to re-inflate the kite.

Our time proven Front Line Flag Out is simple and effective. If you need to immediately stop all power from the kite, activate the release system and the Pure V1 will flag out to one front line, immediately stopping all power delivery.

Ozone tries apparently go back to 1990's with this kind of kite. OK, FS has had quite similar concept with Viron, so maybe there is some need for this kind of kites.

Any foil kite - especially low AR and under 10m - can be flied 12m lines. As a curiosity I used over ten years ago under 10m lines, even 3m in 6m kite. Drawback is limited possibility to fly and to learn to fly a kite with very short lines. Included 5m extensions are necessary for sure.

To get rid of the trimmer and to have knots in back line leaders is cheap. It is just like in the early days: a broom stick bar (a la BRM :) ) and long leaders with knots and hanging line ends :) Perhaps Pure doesn't have free hanging line ends?

To have 11 cells is cheap, but Ozone admits it: "Cost effective..." I doubt if Ozone "Cost effective" is nearly as effective how Pansh has it.

Bridle is typical last century design - or anti-design. It is just a bunch of straight lines. "Tuned Bridle Geometry"- who makes up these funny names?

There is a simple speed system with 1:2 pulley ratio. Obviously it doesn't fit very well to line row location - or maybe it does for a Beginner Kite? :D

Old single front line safety does work but it usually messes the bridle when kite spirals down. No fancy re-ride systems there.

There is a light weight harness without spreader bar. It will be painful to wear because it tries to crush user. Spreader isn't there for nothing.

Such a weird kite in 2019. Ozone has had for years beginner (friendly) snow kites Access and Frenzy, now even more beginner oriented kite? If price is all that matters then why not Pansh Genesis, ready-to-fly from $248?

Kitexpert, if you think you need a spreader bar to snowkite you must not snowkite very often. A soft harness doesn’t crush the rider, and if you do any backcountry touring or traveling, the steel spreader bar is a complete pain. I used a climbing harness until ozone got the memo and started making soft harnesses.

This seems like a great kite, I wish it were around when I started. My 6m access was pretty expensive, and more than I needed. Now I have a quiver of Frenzys but there’s certainly a market for this. Not everyone wants to piece together short lines and use their water equipment if they are passionate skiers. Nice of Ozone to consider all aspects of the market, not just pros and racers.

No, I do snow kite often :) Function of the spreader bar is to keep sides of the harness separate to each other and to decrease crushing. It also keeps hook (or point in which kite connects) more stationary, not pulled so much away from the body.

Now there is hard shell harnesses which have a kind of "spreader" also in the back side to decrease pressure to the sides of your body. They are better and allow taking more power from kite more comfortably.

I've used climbing harness for touring. It is usable for it but it is different to Ozone Pure harness because there is leg loops. Soft waist harness is just a belt. It may be ok for slow cruising but for boosting or high power riding it is really bad idea. For a beginner who doesn't have strength for kiting developed yet and who struggles to keep kite flying it makes it twice as hard. Especially beginner needs a good and stiff harness.

Some second hand Frenzy or Access is ok snow kite for a beginner and they are not outgrown so fast. If first kite is small 4-6m it will serve as a high wind kite later.
