I've become somewhat of a strapless hippy in the past year and am really wanting to travel somewhere during the time period of August-October that has good wind and waves. What are the best options? Willing to travel anywhere in the world.

So now there are wave destinations which are better for strapless?
Seriously, if you are asking such a question, any destination will do, strapless or not does not matter.
Unfortunately nothing makes a destination strapless specific and even on the best waves there will always be a smart ass with a TT

Any will do? I want big waves and good wind. I don' t want to putz around in any flat water spots with a twintip. That's pretty specific, yet still asking for a lot, I suppose.

Sounds like you were looking for a strapless specific destination...
Anyway I have ridden most of the good/big waves on the planet except One eye (Mauritius) which everyone knows usually rocks at that time of the year + you have the Manawa option on the same spot which is milder and less hollow.
Northern Peru is also excellent and has a greater variety of spots.

I would try Sri Lanka. Kalpitiya has some nice beach and pushing reef breaks...good fun especially with the cross shore wind so you can make long downwinders along the coast and get back to the start point by local transport.

Hey buddy,
How long are you looking to go for? I'm looking for a van buddy to go to Punta San Carlos - 7/9m weather everyday, mellow right hander waves. Very tricky to get to though, but a sweet adventure by the looks of things! Best spot I've seen/heard of, and I've been looking for a while.
Cheers
Ben

Hi! Is Punta San Carlos good in September? what forecast should I use, does wind guru works well for this spot? or do they have thermal winds there?
