Any locals from Salt Lake City around? We might be relocating from the south to Salt Lake in spring and I'd love to hear some first hand experience on kite surfing spots. I know snow kiting will be great in winter, but what about the summer months? Is the small lake near Provo deep enough to ride a hydrofoil?

Sorry for late reply. Very good kiting here in spring fall. Good foiling (all I do anymore).
PM if you want to know more.

Deer Creek near Heber is popular during the summer months and is deep enough to foil. Utah Lake gets a lot of good days. It is possible to foil, but it is shallow near the shore, so it is a bit of a hike. Those are the two primary locations. There are some other lakes as well that we ride occasionally.
The snowkiting is world class.
Welcome to Utah!
