Also Make sure you are on the A setting on the rear lines - closest to the tip.

Just took mine out today. First time on a 10m SB, although I have a 12.
I thought the BP was ok. Not overly heavy but not particularly light either. Had to work it a lot to get back to shore, but no complaints. The 12 is worse.

Thanks lads.....I found the 2018 also handles the gusts a lot better so that’s a massive plus! Thanks for all the info , a lot of good points. Yes I ride the A setting also.

a very strange comparison. Might be a Core dealer.....
Doesn't matter, Cores are a lot easier on one's arms, especially the GTS-es. SB has always been a phat elephant in that regard.

Medium? I haven't kited in several months, and have had maybe 4 hours the past two days but my baby soft hands don't have blisters.

Sb canopy profile adds to its bar pressure, its got good low end, floaty jumps, you can get your timing wrong and still have fun kiting.
Its good kite to learn and progress on but in my opinion, once you are proficient kiter there are other kites more fun to fly.
Ask some friends to let you try different brands, demo if possible. Also If you like waves or freestyle it might be better option to get dedicated kite.
