Did a quick video of the time it took to launch my new Soul 15m. Wind was around 10-12kts and kite wasn't preinflated. Impressive in my opinion and easily manageable.

I saw in the flysurfer website there is a testival coming in Leucate. I expect there is going to be FS Souls for testing right?
Just to be sure where is going to be, is Leucate plage= La Franqui?

I was testing the Soul for the last week on Flysurfer Lithuania demo week.in different sizes and different conditions.
I am super impressed by freestyle abilities of the 12m and 10m. Especially 10m. It has explosive jump ability of the modern C kites and very gently hang-time support of the modern foil kites.
Also the relaunch is amazing, when I took 12m with hydrofoil in 4-6 knots. I was able to relaunch many times.
But when it came to hydrofoil i find it difficult to depower. It looks like most of the depower working range is 10cm from the full sheet in to the medium and when it sheet out , there is no power and very low control. As my mine kite for hydrofoil was speed5 9m, I find it very uncomfortable.I used to play with whole depower range of 30-40cm.
Any ideas how to handle it?
My hydrofoil riding is Shinn Model P ( very big wing) strapless .So I ride many times quite slow for practicing different transitions and tricks.

Are you saying when it's fully powered on the depower strap there is no power and no control? I have not found this at all - in fact I find it behaves very similarly to my LEIs in respect of depower both with bar throw and using the depower strap.

I think he's saying the power stroke at the bar is short, and when depowered 50% after only 10cm bar stroke, and fully depowered it has no power and steering.
He's saying his speed 5 9m has 30-40 cm of workable power regulation at the bar.

Interesting I find the depower at the bar to be better than other foil kites I have used (especially Chrono V2). Also find it flies pretty well when depowered, although the depower at the bar means I find even when well / overpowered it is very much controllable, compared to the Chono V2 which can be super scary when overpowered. As a result I don't find I need to trim it that much very often.

Yes. When the kite is brand new, backlines lines can be up to 5cm shorter. After some 3h at sandy beaches - 15h at snow of use, the bridle is set in and the flying lines all equal is perfect.
If you measure the trimm inkl. the bridle (long mixer test see
manual), you can check that z can be up to 5cm shorter than A.
If you habe more questions, let me know.
Cheers, Armin

Finally finished editing my video where I compared the Soul with the Sonic2 including some build differences and first impressions. Let me know what you think.
