The new Hyper kite looks cool, high aspect. That's right up your ally Toby. I don't think I follow the attribute ratings on the Hyper info page:

First, turning speed 100% ? I wouldn't describe any high-aspect kite with full "fast" turning attributes.

Second, wtf is price level? All CrazyFly gear should have a price level chart that goes off the map, super expensive gear (not to say it isn't worth it). Weird to even have that as an attribute item IMO

Yeah, sounds good. Only the turning speed might be too quick for me.

It does not turn fast. It has good hang time and lets you down very gently. Lots of low end grunt. It flies forward in the window once you really get moving.

Doesn't turn fast but the turning speed bar is at maximum?
.. = Don't trust the marketing bullshit.. :) There must be a mistake in the picture

We might define fast and slow differently

Sound like a Rebel or Edge.

The closest comparison is the Edge for sure.

Are all CF products as shitty as the 2015 sick bar?

There are so many things wrong with this bar. Don't they test their gear at all? The last CF product to me.
Like:
1) It doesn't float.
2) Bar ends are too soft, if you try to do self rescue, you can't wrap lines to bar when there is any tension.
3) PU tubing pops out from the bottom, and sand gets inside. Maybe 10 times use and yesterday the inner chickenloop line snapped!
4) After QR, it's quite hard to get it back together, because QR will stuck open.

Yep, the bar is really SICK and needs some help :D

Can't recommend CF to anyone. I wish 2019 gear is better. If they just do some testing nowadays before putting them to sale.

Gotta bump this thread.

Does anyone have new CF kites? I'm more curious about Sculp in particular. Is it worth buying? Also I wish to know if anyone used this kite in winter conditions. Does the depower line goes stiff?

I used to have Sculp 2015 and I liked it, except that I have picked the wrong size for my weight and average winds. Also 2015 bar was sure a disaster.
