Lift 170 is better than Moses 633. Been riding the Lift 170 and cannot wipe the grin off my face:
– No front foot pressure and track position issues
– No need for stabilizer inserts
– Most important – way more nimble and skatey than 633
– Better carving and more normal tacks
– Better boosting
– Doesn't outrun 6ft+ waves (neither does 633, to be fair)
– Just a haiiiiir faster than 633
– Better durability - no chipped carbon on rear stabilizer after just a few sessions
– Lighter
– About the same low-end as 633, maybe half a knot less
– Bigger high-end than 633
In terms of how 170 compares to 150 - a lot more low end, doesn't outrun bigger waves, less speed and a bit less maneuverability. The latter two are to be expected, since it's a bigger wing area. If you get a chance to try it or compare, would def give it a try. For Lift haters out there - Lift front wings are not solid carbon, it's a sandwich construction. However, over two years of riding both Moses and Lift, all Moses wings and stabilizers have needed repairs, while only one of Lift wings went back to the factory for service. Service on both Lift and Moses was excellent. Still enamored by Moses 637, 548 and 550 wings.
