Hi guys!!

I would appreciate your comments about this kites, I want to buy one of them but still don't know which one!!

What about the f-one 9.1?

Which is the wind range of the x2 10.0?

Do you think that is possible to hold the x2 10 in 28-30 knods without too much stress??

May be the x2 8 is a better option... Isn´t it too fast like the ARX 7.5???

Please if you have tried one of this kites add your comments!!!

Thank you,

Gaztea

Buy a Takoon. It,s the best kite in year 2002. I have been using 8,9 Takoon between 18 and 32 knots and 17 Takoon between 10 and 22 knots. Smooth riding, high jumps and soft landings.

Very happy with my Takoon. Riding 14.3 in 8-20 knots (weight 72 kg) on a 183 directional. Very very fast kite. Loooooooooots of lift. Flying with 30 meter lines....scary. But also good wing for beginner, if used in light winds (< 10 knots). Go for a takoon. Best wing on the market!!!

X2 and Takoon are great kites!
The Takoon is a bit softer, therefore the X2 has little bit more lift and hangtime.
But the Takkon has a wider windrange.
But you can't go wrong with one or the other.

and what about the f-one mach 1 9.1???

I haven´t seen any comment about this kite?

What is the low end of this kite?

I know that the mach1 has a very wide wind range.

From the high AR kites, I think the 2002AB6.3(>mai 2002) is the best. It's a lot like the Takoon but construction is better(just look how fragile the tips are. I would not do al lot of self launches with it)

Everyone is comparing their kites with the 2001AB's (which is logical because that was the kite most kitesurfers had), but the 2002AB's(>may2002) have improved a lot. Lift wise, construction wise etc.

And the 2002AB have a better bar compared to the X2's. And when you're at it, get the Wipika C-bar.

The 2002 ABs have no finesse and weigh a tun compared to the Skoops so you can't really compare. The 6.5 Takoon goes way earlier than the 6.3 AB. No problems with the tips and self launch either, after 5 months of hard use.

Performance wise, X2 and Skoop are in a class above. The wipika bar is nice though.

I have used the takoon skoop 6.5 about 8 times and can compare it to the 2001 airblast 6.3.

The skoop has much better low end power and about the same top end. It does not depower quite as much as the AB did, but flies alot smoother (less twitchy) and turns slower, which is a good thing for a high wind kite, and allows better control when really powered. The skoop jumps really nicely with lots of smooth lift. The AB would shoot me up fast and then I would drop like a rock. With the skoop I go up slower, but much higher..and most importantly come down nice and slow, like a bigger kite.

I (200lbs, 150 by 38 cm board) find I can ride the 6.5 starting in the low 20mph range, but usually wait till upper 20's. Top end for me is mid to upper 30's maybe the odd gust to 40mph or slightly beyond but not averages above 40mph. Sweet spot for me is 28-36mph. All in all i've been really happy with the skoops, with that size being a really significant improvement from last years kites. Hope to try the 5.0 on some super windy day but will have to wait for US fall for that probably...

Peter,

Just look at what I said. You should compare 2002 kites with 2002's kites......
