It's pretty easy. A front to blind is a front roll to blind. A S to blind is a true legit S bend to blind. Couple sick S bend variations in this vid, as well as a sickkkkk tantrum to blind from Eric Reinstra -

A front roll is any front rotation. An S bend is a railey front roll where your feet go higher than your head.

the vid is a s-bend to blind.
with a frontroll to blind the rotation initiates from the take off,
where a s-bend the rotation comes after the take off for a raley and your body is horizontal in the spin.
the higher the board above your head, the better!

ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Wrong.
A front roll is just that, a front roll. It's not a front flip or s-bend or "any front rotation".
A S-bend is where you do a raley and once you are in the layed out extended position you initiate a front rotation 360' (layed out).
