Turks & Caicos

Postby LynchMob » Sat May 24, 2014 6:30 am

Will be heading to Turks & Caicos over the next few days and would love to meet up with any riders in the area as I am traveling solo. I also have a car if anyone needs a ride!

I won't be there when you are but I just viewed a video out of TCI and it appears the Shore Club project has begun. Update us on how or if access to Long Bay via Shore Club entrance has been affected.

Thx...Tim

Doesn't matter. There are 50 other spots in TCI 100 times better than Long Bay. Long Bay is for the tourists.

Hi Eurus,
I would be curious to hear more about the 50 other spots...
Are you refering to spots on other islands than Provo? or only accessible by boat?

For the shore club access. There are 2 or 3 public beach access on the cadastre to access longbay beach. One of them goes right in the middle of the land where they are building the shore club. So what I heard from the local is that they have traded the public access vs the current private shore club entrance which is on the border of the shore club property. So aparently this access will stay open.

My gosh, never go to Long Beach! It' for tourists, an horrible uncrowded place with 500 mts shallow crystal clear hot water, good wind, and a breathtaking panorama. No, no, don't kite there! :-)))))

Pierrot...thank you for the update.

It seems as though Stan just broke ground on Shore Club yesterday, then I see in a video some substantial progress. Guess a lot of construction workers have been sitting idle long enough in Provo.

Yes, i saw the video... It seems it is progressing really fast.
I'll probably go back in december. I'm a bit afraid of what I'll find... But since this is luxury condo and villas, i hope they will have preserved the site.

Time will tell if this side of the island is going for more reasonable projects.
