Re: North navigator control bar

Thinking of picking up one of these bars. The main concern I have is snagging of the safety line. I’ve never had a bar where that was inside the sleeve with the deliver line. That and I’ve had experiences on other bars where it just didn’t smoothly deploy (getting caught on the area where the safety...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Deep water pack down: any tips? Finally got some time on my 8m in marginal conditions. I need to do deep water packdowns and am having a hard time getting everything packed up before it’s water logged. My lazy closed cell approach doesn’t work since it doesn’t seem I have nearly the same amount of t...

Re: DIY Thick surf foil wings

About to start another wing build. The last one is a slightly modified 633 type design that has been holding up well with it's 3D printed core. This time, I'm going going large (around 2200cm2). Has anyone had luck building anything this size with any tips on things they've noticed? My main curiosit...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Could some of you advice the values of peak 4 second hand? A second hand Peak4 for sale!!!! Does such a kite exist?? :o I've never heard of anyone selling one and if they did it would probably be gone in seconds. They can be hard enough to obtain new as I think the demand is exceeding supply :-? Ho...

Re: Corona Virus - Has your country banned kitesurfing?

Has there been any research (directly or related) on the mechanics of how this spreads in the water? I tried posting in the other COVID thread but that one got a little sidetracked ;) I'd be curious as to: - how long it survives in water and how much dilution factors in to the ability to be transmit...

Re: Covid-19 - How does it affect your kite-life?

Definitely don't feel safe kiting going forward especially after rain when sewage gets overflowed and forced into the lake Ontario. Coronavirus is known to be found in sewage, so what are the chances of picking it up in a body of water ? Hey Regularkiter. Yeah, this is my local area too. Hopefully ...

Re: Covid-19 - How does it affect your kite-life?

Has there been any research (directly or related) on how likely this could spread in the water? A few posters have had similar questions ( @ronnie, @dorant) back early in this thread. I'd be curious: - how long it survives in water and how much dilution factors in to the ability to be transmitted - ...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

The Peak 4 sounds like the answer to my prayers. Hey F-Bear. You sound a lot like my internal dialogue ;) I also have high hopes of smaller single skin kites like this opening up similar riding spots. With maybe a stronger focus on low end than you're expecting. Though with your comment of drops to...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Hi Armin. I’m really intrigued by two points you’ve made: 1) The ultra low wind range with large wings. I know in this post you were referring to the 13, but how much smaller of a kite do you think you’d be able to rig if you were on an extremely large volume board? For example something that would ...

Re: Huge board, huge wing, small kite

Totally! :) It’s these amazing skills (like Marc Blanc too) that are exciting to watch. They make me wonder about the low end with High volume boards to reduce the water start power factor. If we’re already on the surface, how much kite do we really need to get on foil and stay upwind in 7ish knots....
