hi guys portugal in august is a good choice for the wind???
i'm weight 88 kg and i love medium or strong wind from 16 knots upwards

where is a good area for find good condition ,flat lagoon and wave spot???? is better lisbona area or porto area??? plus guincho

Hi simoneb,

August is great for kiting (july is even better).

Guincho near Lisbon offers the highest probability for wind + some waves. Downside is the crowds and no lagoon nearby. be sure to bring small kites as many days the wind blows over 35 knots. If you have a car it's a good base from where to explore other options in a 100km radius.

Viana do castelo in the north offers great flat water and ocasionally waves. You can almost set your clock by the thermal everyday and you can either go up to Moledo for a change of scenery (and better waves) or go down to Ofir for great flatwater in the rivermouth or nice waves on the ocean side.

Either one of these options is a sure bet.

These are for sure some of the best spots in Portugal. With constant thermal winds all through the summer. Low crowd at the beach and cheap to get.
